2022/2024
16:9 4K Single Channel Computer-Generated Video (CGI) with Sound, duration: 4:08 min
״To the sound of a ballad, two driverless e-scooters glide and swerve through a nocturnal industrial city- scape. Suddenly, other e-scooters fall from the sky, plummeting like missiles, sending the two-wheeled couple into a spin until they plunge from a bridge and crash. The video combines cinematic narrative structures with absurd and dreamlike elements of sci-fi. What starts as an ironically overstated love story gradually descends into a mood of reeling powerlessness – simultaneously becoming a mirror of our current malaise and a commentary on the questionable so-called “shared mobility” concepts of the present.״ —Julia Höner, Kunstmuseum Gelsenkirchen
The work was originally created for Immersive Days at IAC Malmö, and was later featured in various group shows, as well as solo shows CITY DUMMIES (Rosenfeld Gallery), Interzone (Kunstmuseum Gelsenkirchen).
