2015
The work was conceived on the occasion of The Crystal Palace and the Temple of Doom, a group show curated by Hila Cohen Schneiderman at the Petach Tikva Museum of Art. In the museum's main hall, Rodeh installs a monumental surrealist homage to the Israeli Iron Dome defense system. In addition, Rodeh connected the museum’s three main halls with a surround system of loudspeakers that functioned as a temporary public announcement system. Every 18 minutes, a burst of sirens was heard through the rooms, quickly turning into a musical track and cut short at their apex.
MDF, aluminum
240x240x260cm
Execution: Didi Alon
Four tracks composed by Harel Schreiber (Muledriver)
Documentation: Michal Baror
