Fogging, a born-digital short video work created using VFX and gaming engines, refers to the term "Fogging," or "Smoke Screens": military and visual tactics used for partial concealment. In media use, fogging is used to conceal the identification of a suspect or crime victim in similar ways, or to conceal severe violence, or an overly exposed body part. In Fogging, the pixelization hides a disintegration of a wall that falls for no apparent reason. This action occurs both day and night, suggesting visual information that should be withheld from media outlets' viewers.
