2012
This performance results from the artist's interpretation of Mic Swinging: trick playing with a microphone and its cable. Rodeh invited Idan Porges, a contemporary dancer, to try mic swinging while a specially designed sound system amplifies the microphone. During the first part of the performance, his mic swings are in sync with the song’s melody, performed by guitar player and vocalist Uri Brauner Kinrot. In the second part, the microphone output is filtered through different guitar pedal effects, converting the feedback created into new sounds. The result is a mixture of rodeo rope handling, and Elvis Presley moves, with abstract visual and sonic feedback loops.
