Altars Made of Sand

The biblical altar had four prominent horns, considered the most sacred part of the temple. Holding onto the altar's horns was a refuge for an accidental murderer in danger of blood revenge. Until receiving a fair trial, one could find sanctuary in the altar's horns. In this short CGI animation film, sand altars are washed away by ocean waves, knocking the structures down gently but surely, confirming the ephemerality of the moment, as new ones emerge. All 3D models follow the shapes of existing altars from ancient histories.
